Rezensent Michael Kohl scheint fasziniert von Liza Ryans fünftem Fotoband. Wie die Fotografin in den versammelten Fotoserien aus zwei Jahrzehnten die Poesie in der Zerstörung entdeckt, Spuren der Zeit und die Vergänglichkeit des Fleisches festhält, findet er sehenswert. Ryans assoziative Arbeitsweise und ihr Faible für den gothic touch gefallen Kohl, auch wenn sich ihm nicht jede Assoziation erschließt. Zeichnet Ryan mit dem Pinsel die Linien der Gletscher in der Titelserie nach, werden sie für Kohl wieder wirklich.
